The Executive Secretary of DBI was invited to join the 3rd edition of the European Policy Dialogue Forum, focused on Refugees and Migrants, taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, from the 19th to the 21st of October 2021.
The event was organized by Kaiciid, in cooperation with the Network for Dialogue the European Council of Religious Leaders/Religions for Peace. Over 100 participants from all over Europe, including academics, representantives of public authorities, civily society organizations and faith-based organizations, joined the event in Lisbon, while many more were connected online to the hybrid sessions.
While the first two days of the Forum took place under the theme “Fostering social inclusion and enhancing participation of refugees and migrants in host societies”, the last day was dedicated to the rising phenomenon of hate speech and how cross-sector collaboration could be the way forward in fighting it.
