The School Education Gateway was opened to the public in February 2015 and then added its Teacher Academy online courses in May 2016. In organising the official launch conference in October 2016, the European Commission reflects upon issues facing teachers and looks into the future to provide the best possible European platform on school education.

The launch conference will showcase the services offered on the platform and its latest developments and future directions, as well as highlight its benefits for Europe’s school education stakeholders in the context of current challenges and policy and programme priorities.
